WAMY Hails Kingdom’s Leadership in Promoting Intellectual Property

Riyadh: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), on World Intellectual Property Day, annually observed on April 26, lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's significant progress and leadership in fostering an environment that promotes intellectual property. The Kingdom achieved a 17.55% growth rate in the overall assessment of the 2025 International Intellectual Property Index, recently published by the US Chamber of Commerce.

According to Saudi Press Agency, WAMY highlighted that this achievement reflects the Kingdom's major efforts and advanced measures in establishing an effective environment for intellectual property protection both domestically and internationally.

It also noted the Kingdom's commitment to raising public awareness about the importance and strategic value of intellectual property and creating a stimulating environment for innovation and human creativity across various sectors.

The Kingdom has been a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) member since 1982. Through this membership, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property continues to monitor global developments and best practices, strengthening the Kingdom's international standing and enhancing its performance in protecting and preserving intellectual property rights.
