Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned the Israeli occupation's shelling of a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) school, where displaced civilians in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip were sheltering. In a statement by the General Secretariat of the League, MWL Secretary General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, on behalf of the MWL and its global academies, entities, and councils, denounced these horrific and continuing barbaric crimes against civilians and civilian facilities. He emphasized that these actions represent a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms. He stressed the urgent need for the international community to respond to this catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories by putting an end to systematic crimes against innocent civilians. Riyadh: The Arab Parliament has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's shelling of a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) school, serving as a shelter for thousands of displaced civilians in the Nuseirat camp located within the Gaza Strip. The airstrike resulted in the tragic loss of life and injuries, with the majority of victims being children and women. In a statement released today, the parliament emphasized that the recurring targeting of schools and refugee shelters, along with the perpetration of horrific massacres by the Israeli occupation, constitutes an ongoing genocidal war and ethnic cleansing campaign against the Palestinian people. Such actions flagrantly violate numerous international resolutions and laws, particularly international humanitarian law. The parliament calls upon the international community, the UN Security Council and influential nations to exert substantial pressure on the Israeli occupation, demanding an immediate cessation of its genocida l war and brutal massacres against innocent Palestinian civilians. Furthermore, the parliament urged the swift accountability of those responsible for these heinous massacres and crimes as war criminals. Additionally, urgent measures must be taken to facilitate the entry of humanitarian and medical aid into the Gaza Strip, providing essential relief from the dire conditions and famine gripping the region. Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has launched several summer programs to nurture gifted students and enrich their scientific and linguistic knowledge. The programs include the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program, and Mawhiba Ambassadors Program. Some 13,000 students, including 450 students from Syria, Jordan, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen, Egypt, and South Africa, will participate in these programs, which start today and continue for three, four, and six weeks. Riyadh: The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is hosting the Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program, affiliated with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, with the participation of 279 talented students. The program started yesterday at the College of Science on the university campus and will continue for three weeks during the summer. It aims to enrich students' scientific and linguistic knowledge, help them identify their future scientific fields, provide them with the experience of completing tasks and projects at a university level, highlight national talents, and prepare students to support the Kingdom's transition to a knowledge-based society. Also, it seeks to enhance students' communication with international universities, open promising horizons for them to continue their studies, and develop their personal skills. The program includes four tracks: medical, biological, and chemical sciences; physics, geology, and spac e sciences; engineering sciences; and computer and applied mathematics sciences. Riyadh: Riyadh-based Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office the patent of an invention by the Department of Biology, College of Science, utilizing X-ray film. The patent was recognized based on the biological materials and the methodology used in the research. The environment-friendly invention entails the manufacture of biodegradable organic nano-biofilms that would replace the synthetic membranes currently used in laboratories, surgery, biomedicine, bioengineering and dentistry. DHAKA - The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, through the religious attaché at its embassy in Bangladesh, has organized a series of scientific programs for mosque imams and attaché preachers in Dhaka. These programs include courses on modern preaching tools and symposiums on dialogue skills and audience engagement.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Mubarak Al-Inizi, the acting religious attaché at the embassy, expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Saudi ambassador to Bangladesh. He highlighted the significance of these programs in enhancing preaching and awareness activities. This initiative reflects the Saudi leadership's commitment to supporting the Muslim community worldwide and its dedication to promoting effective religious communication and education.
