Shura Council Speaker Participates in South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum in Rabat

Rabat: The third edition of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum commenced on Monday in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, with the participation of a Saudi delegation led by Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh. The event is hosted by Morocco's House of Councillors and the Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA).

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the Moroccan House of Councillors and ASSECAA, Mohamed Ould Errachid, welcomed the forum's participants during the opening session. This included parliamentary leaders and unions. He emphasized that the forum has established itself as a leading parliamentary platform for consultation and the exchange of views. The forum aims to coordinate efforts and unify positions on regional, continental, and international issues. This unity is intended to bolster efforts to address challenges and promote sustainable development, security, and stability.

The sessions at the forum will explore the role of interregional initiatives and dialogues in enhancing integration, economic cooperation, and shared development among southern countries. Additionally, they will focus on the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence in supporting development and industrial progress in the Global South.
