Saudi Cultural Week in Albania Highlights the Kingdom’s Heritage and Arts

Tirana: Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Albania Faisal Hifzi opened the Saudi Cultural Week in Tirana yesterday. The event, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture, will run until September 20.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the cultural week serves as a cultural bridge between the two nations, offering Albanian and international audiences the chance to explore the rich heritage, arts, and traditions of Saudi Arabia. The event features a dynamic lineup of cultural showcases, reflecting the Kingdom's deep-rooted culture and artistic legacy.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with traditional Saudi coffee before embarking on an immersive journey through Saudi culture. Highlights include performances of Saudi music and dance, screenings of Saudi films, exhibits featuring traditional Saudi costumes, and displays about the Kingdom's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Culinary demonstrations will also give visitors a taste of authentic Saudi cuisine.

The event also includes various workshops aimed at fostering collaboration between Saudi and Albanian artists and cultural practitioners. Additionally, dialogue seminars with intellectuals and writers will facilitate cross-cultural exchange and discussion.

A key feature of the week is the 'Year of Handicrafts 2025' initiative, which highlights the historical and cultural importance of Saudi handicrafts. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with artisans, learn about the production process, and understand the cultural significance of these handmade creations, which are a hallmark of Saudi craftsmanship.

This cultural week is part of a series of initiatives by the Ministry of Culture aimed at showcasing Saudi Arabia's heritage internationally, building bridges of cultural communication, and strengthening Saudi culture's presence on the global stage.
