Riyadh: Countries around the world, including Saudi Arabia, are observing the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28, aiming to promote occupational safety and health and enhance worker protection by developing national standards and legislation aligned with International Labor Organization guidelines.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development emphasized the importance of implementing global standards for occupational safety and health management systems in both public and private sector workplaces. The ministry also highlighted its role in raising awareness about the significance of occupational safety and health in improving workplace attractiveness, reiterating the necessity for establishments to adhere to safety regulations and requirements.
The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health has announced that it will host the seventh Global Occupational Safety and Health Conference in Riyadh from May 4 to 6, 2025. This conference is part of the council's ongoing efforts to raise awareness and promote best practices in the field among employers and workers.
The conference will gather experts and specialists to exchange knowledge and expertise through panel discussions, keynote speeches, and workshops. An accompanying exhibition will also be held for organizations and companies interested in participating.
