Royal Institute of Traditional Arts Participates in Saudi Cultural Week in Albania

Tirana: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth), in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, is participating in the activities of the Saudi Cultural Week, hosted by the Albanian capital Tirana from September 16 to 20. The event aims to enhance cultural and artistic exchange between Saudi Arabia and Albania through interactive experiences that celebrate the commonalities between the traditional arts of the two countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Wrth's participation features four main stations: the sound identity experience, which blends Saudi and Albanian musical rhythms; the interactive weaving panel (Sadu), which combines Saudi Sadu motifs and Albanian carpets in a collective work titled 'Shared Memory'; and the Wrth store, which showcases innovative artistic products created by its students and entrepreneurs.

This participation aligns with the announcement of naming 2025 as the Year of Handicrafts and fits within the framework of supporting and empowering artisans and students. Wrth aims to highlight the richness of Saudi traditional arts, enhance the global presence of national culture, and contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Culture Strategy within the Saudi Vision 2030.
