Riyadh: Participants in the fourth annual international conference of the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language (KSGAAL), titled 'Global Lexicography Industry: Experiences, Efforts, and Prospects," commended the academy's pioneering role in advancing the modern lexicography industry. They highlighted the need to strengthen institutional cooperation at local, regional, and international levels.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the two-day conference, which concluded Tuesday, brought together representatives from ministries, universities, academies, linguistic institutions, regional and international organizations as well as scholars, researchers, and specialists. It issued a series of recommendations to further develop the Arabic lexicography industry, enhance collaboration between linguistic and research bodies, and employ modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), to serve the Arabic language.
Participants emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among linguistic and research academies to implement lexicographic projects, exchange expertise and standards, and build on pioneering experiences in the field.
