Riyadh: The Project for Clearing Mines in Yemen (Masam), implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), dismantled 1,319 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen during the first week of October 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, since the inception of the project, a total of 517,818 mines have been dismantled. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, aims through this initiative to clear Yemeni lands of mines that have been randomly planted by the Houthi militia. These mines have tragically resulted in the death and injury of numerous innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
