KSrelief and IOM Sign Agreement to Enhance Education in Yemen

New york city: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has embarked on a strategic partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to bolster educational services in Yemen. This collaboration was formalized during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York City.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, the Supervisor-General of KSrelief, and Amy Pope, the Director-General of IOM. The joint executive program is designed to facilitate the recovery of Yemen's education sector, which has been severely impacted by ongoing crises and displacement.

The initiative focuses on rehabilitating and expanding 12 schools across the Yemeni governorates of Aden, Lahj, and Taiz. The objective is to create a conducive educational environment for students, ensuring the continuity of education despite the numerous challenges faced by the region. This program is a critical step towards supporting the resilience of Yemen's educational infrastructure amidst adversity.
