KACST President: Vision 2030 Steers Saudi Arabia toward Prosperous, Innovation-Led Future

Riyadh: President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) Dr. Munir El-Desouki has extended his congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the release of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 annual report for 2024, which detailed national accomplishments in various fields.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. El-Desouki expressed his pride for the significant accomplishments and developmental leaps that reflect the progress the Kingdom has achieved under the ambitious vision led by HRH the Crown Prince towards a prosperous and sustainable future. He highlighted the unprecedented support and rapid empowerment of the research, development, and innovation ecosystem, which has contributed to increased investment in research projects with national impact and expanded strategic partnerships with academic institutions and the government, private, and non-profit sectors.

El-Desouki also emphasized that KACST continues to strive to fulfill the vision's goals as a national laboratory and innovation park, aiming to strengthen the Kingdom's position and enhance its global competitiveness. He mentioned that KACST has completed 20 initiatives in various fields, such as developing national capabilities, transferring and localizing technology, and supporting innovation in water, energy, oil and gas, logistics services, health, and information technology. Additionally, KACST established innovation centers to stimulate innovative products and enhance manufacturing capabilities within the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP).
