GEOSA Vice President Receives President of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

Riyadh: Vice President of the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) Eng. Ahmed Al-Wasaidi received President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Nicholas Maclean and his accompanying delegation to discuss areas of cooperation between the two parties for building and developing national geospatial capabilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the collaboration between the two parties aims to launch several initiatives to establish professional standards for practitioners in the fields of surveying, geospatial information, and imagery in the Kingdom.

This includes registering, classifying, verifying, and professional accreditation of practitioners, activating training and educational pathways to build national capacities through the National Geospatial Academy, and enhancing geospatial awareness and knowledge while fostering innovation.
