Gebran Bassil Engages in Critical Discussions with Armenian Ambassador and Lebanese Communist Party Secretary

BEIRUT: Free Patriotic Movement leader, Gebran Bassil, conducted significant diplomatic and political meetings this Wednesday with Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon, Vahagn Atabekian, and Hanna Gharib, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Communist Party. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting with Ambassador Atabekian, which also included former MP Edgar Maalouf, primarily explored strategies to halt the ongoing war and discussed how best to assist Lebanon during its current hardships. The discussions aimed at fostering collaboration and finding tangible solutions to support the crisis-stricken country. In a separate meeting, Bassil and Hanna Gharib delved into the impacts of recent regional conflicts, specifically the Israeli aggression, and debated strategies to aid displaced families within Lebanon. An urgent emphasis was placed on the necessity to accelerate the presidential election process to effectively address Lebanon's pressing national issues and stabilize the political landscape. These meetings underscore a proactive approach by Lebanese political figures to seek international and local partnerships in resolving both external conflicts and internal political challenges.
