European Council President Advocates for Enhanced EU-GCC Relations to Boost Prosperity

Brussels: President of the European Council, Charles Michel, emphasized the critical need for a stronger and more comprehensive partnership between the European Union (EU) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to boost the prosperity of their peoples. According to Saudi Press Agency, Michel spoke at the inaugural European Union-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit held in Brussels on Wednesday. He called on the member states of both the EU and GCC to enhance their collaboration. Michel's speech aimed to set a tone of unity and hope for the summit, urging both blocs to work together on global issues, particularly those affecting the Middle East. The EU leader pointed out that the Middle East faces severe disruptions and challenges that not only affect regional stability but also lead to significant human suffering.
