Riyadh: Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan honored the winners of the fifth edition of the National Cultural Awards Initiative at a ceremony held on Sunday evening. The ceremony, held at the King Fahad Cultural Center in Riyadh, was attended by senior officials, cultural leaders, writers, artists, and media representatives.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister stressed that the National Cultural Awards Initiative reflects the values of gratitude and appreciation in Saudi culture and underscores the Ministry of Culture's commitment to supporting and encouraging creativity across all cultural fields. Prince Bader bin Abdullah congratulated this year's award winners, expressing his pride in the cultural contributions of creators from across the Kingdom, noting that culture flourishes through their talent and creativity. He then honored the winners across all categories.
The ceremony marked the conclusion of this year's edition of the initiative, through which the Ministry of Culture annually celebrates the achievements of individuals, groups, and institutions across diverse cultural sectors. The initiative aims to encourage outstanding cultural content and production that serve the sector, while also providing financial and moral support to winners.
It further recognizes the cultural contributions of business leaders and cultural institutions, both local and international, in line with the pillars of the National Culture Strategy and its aspirations to enhance creativity, community participation, culture-driven economic growth, national pride, and global exchange, in support of Saudi Vision 2030's cultural objectives.
