Aseer: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) Aseer branch celebrated International Coffee Day, observed annually on October 1, with an event organized in cooperation with the Rijal Almaa Cooperative Association of Coffee.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event saw wide participation from coffee lovers and producers and featured an introduction to the stages of coffee cultivation and the methods of preparing and serving Saudi coffee. The event also included interactive activities and heritage performances, which drew significant interest from attendees.
MEWA statistics indicate Aseer Region's leadership in coffee production, being home to more than 243,000 fruitful coffee trees that produce over 175 tons of pure coffee annually. These figures highlight the region's significant contribution to the country's coffee industry.
Saudi coffee, a strong symbol of national identity, generosity, and cultural heritage, was celebrated through informative booths and heritage displays at the event, reinforcing the importance of coffee in Saudi culture.
