Muscat: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi stated that the Advantage Oman Forum provides a valuable platform for discussing and reviewing investment opportunities and initiatives in Oman, as well as exploring future transformations in promising sectors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi made these remarks during his participation in the first edition of the Advantage Oman Forum. The event was held under the patronage and attendance of Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said and included ministers from various GCC countries, along with senior officials and decision-makers, in Muscat.
The Secretary General emphasized that the forum reflects Oman's strategic vision to bolster its national economy and attract global investments, thus contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals. He commended the forum's activities, workshops, and dialogue sessions, which he believes provide the foundation for the forum's success and sustainability, establishing it as a significant regional and international platform for economic and investment discussions in Oman.
Albudaiwi further commented on Oman's attractive investment environment, advanced infrastructure, and robust economic policies, highlighting its growth indicators which have positioned Oman as a preferred destination for global investors. This positioning not only enhances Oman's role in the GCC economies but also supports the council's goal of achieving regional economic integration.
He concluded by expressing confidence that the forum would yield positive results, contributing to the expansion of economic and investment cooperation between the GCC countries and the global community, thereby supporting the comprehensive development process in the region.
