Over Five Million Worshippers Perform Prayers at Prophet’s Mosque Last Week

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque provided integrated services to the Prophet's Mosque, which attracted 5,410,089 worshippers and visitors last week. In accordance with the organisational procedures for organising crowds and visiting dates, the authority reported in a statistical report on the total services provided to worshippers and visitors at the Prophet's Mosque that 477,245 visitors greeted the Prophet and his two companions and 230,823 visitors performed prayers at the blessed Rawdah. The authority reported that communication services in multiple languages were utilised by 77,054 visitors from a variety of nationalities. In addition to the provision of 1,570 tonnes of Zamzam water, the field services included sterilisation and disinfection works, totalling 24,176 litres. It was further stated that 178 samples were collected for analysis and examination. One hundred forty-four thousand three hundred fifty-two fasting iftar meals were distributed in the des ignated areas of the Prophet's Mosque for fasting people's iftar. Source: Saudi Press Agency
