Cairo, in a move to intensify relief efforts in Gaza, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The signing ceremony, held in Cairo, saw Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, and Alfonso Verdu Pérez, Head of ICRC Delegation in Egypt, come together in response to the ICRC's urgent humanitarian appeal for Gaza.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the memorandum outlines various initiatives to support hospitals, deploy medical teams, provide care for the wounded and burn victims, and ensure access to clean drinking water and awareness of the dangers posed by explosive remnants of war. With a total value of SAR37.5 million, these initiatives are a part of the Kingdom’s commitment to assisting countries in need, reflecting its ongoing efforts through KSrelief to provide critical relief to the Palestinian people.
